Training at Warringal Obedience Dog Club occurs every Sunday from 9am
This is a list of exercises done in each class:

Beginners:

  • Heel
  • Sit
  • Right about turn

Advanced Beginners:

  • Heel
  • Sit
  • Right about turn
  • Stand
  • Recall (on lead)

Class One:

  • Heeling (includes: sits, stands & right about turn)
  • Right and left turns
  • Recall (on lead)
  • Drop from sit
  • Sit stay to the end of lead (30 sec.)

Class Two:

  • Heeling (includes: sits, stands, right about, right & left turn)
  • Recall (on lead)
  • Left about turn
  • Stand for examination
  • Drop from heel
  • Recall on lead, dog on sit stay in front of handler (short distance)
  • Finish of recall (on lead)
  • Sit Stay to end of lead (1 min.) - with distractions
  • Stand stay
  • Drop stay

Class Three:

  • Heeling on lead (all turns, sits, stands & drops)
  • Fast & slow pace (heeling)
  • Figure of eight
  • Food refusal
  • Stand for examination
  • Stand stay off lead
  • Recall (short off lead)
  • Finish of recall (off lead)
  • Group stays, 5 metres away (1 min. sit, 1 min down)

Class Four:

This is the Novice trailing class which consists of the basic obedience that have already been learnt at lower levels. This is the first level of Obedience titles.

 

Class Five:

This is the Open trailing class which consists of retrieving and other advanced work.This is the second level of Obedience titles.

Class Six:

This is the Utility trailing class which consists of scent work and other advanced work.This is the third level of Obedience titles.
